Job Role and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate plays a key role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location. This role demands accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals. The tasks include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, educating customers on banking products and services, delivering end-to-end advice to customers, and using TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers and deepen relationships.
Educational and Experience Requirements
The candidate is required to have a high school diploma or GED and one year of experience working with customers. This experience can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military service. Teller experience is preferred, and the candidate must complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire. Other skills required include strong organization skills, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A Notary License is preferred.
Customer Accountabilities and Shareholder Accountabilities
The Banking Associate’s role includes consistently providing legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. They are also responsible for managing wait times for clients, engaging in lobby leadership, and understanding and supporting the Bank’s customer service strategy.
From a shareholder’s perspective, the Banking Associate ensures compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations. This includes accurately processing cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions and other account servicing requests.

The role requires the candidate to contribute to a positive work environment by aligning to TD Model, Brand, and Culture. They need to be an active participant in personal performance and development activities, collaboratively work with team members, and actively seek opportunities to improve delivery of work.
The physical requirements of the job include sitting, standing, and walking frequently. It may also involve occasional lifting/carrying of items under 25 lbs. and over 25lbs.
