Key Responsibilities of the Role

As a successful applicant, you would be required to:

  • Engage in the comprehensive Wells Fargo Advisors training program. This program is designed to enhance personal, professional, and organizational client service and financial goals within the Financial Advisory – Bank function.
  • Review basic or tactical client goals and risk tolerance, assess investment profiles, and evaluate client financial needs. These tasks primarily involve lower risk tasks and deliverables with a narrower impact.
  • Handle customer contact and job duties which may involve needs assessing and referring those customers interested in a dwelling secured product to a SAFE team member. This role is instrumental in assisting customers without taking an application and without offering or negotiating terms of a dwelling secured transaction. It’s also critical to meet the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO).

Qualifications: What Wells Fargo is Looking For

Aspiring candidates must satisfy the following criteria:

  • At least 6 months of Customer Service, Sales, Relationship Building experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Successful completion of the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam or equivalent.

Desired Qualifications

While not mandatory, Wells Fargo values the following qualifications and experience:

  • FINRA registration including Series 7 and 66 (or FINRA recognized equivalents).
  • Prior experience in financial services and client services.
  • At least 6 months of client or sales services experience.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and managing client relationships.
  • Sales or sales support experience.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher.

Job Expectations and Regulatory Compliance

Individuals in the role of Loan Originator (LO) must meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and comply with related Wells Fargo policies. Meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness and criminal background standards are crucial. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA licensing review process at the time of offer acceptance and ongoing regulatory requirements will also apply.

This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements. Successful candidates must meet and comply with ongoing regulatory obligations, which include periodic screening and mandatory reporting of certain incidents.

Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities and/or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired.
