Key Responsibilities of the Position
The Banking Center Manager position comes with a wide range of responsibilities. The primary purpose of this role involves directing and administering the operational efforts of the banking center. The manager is expected to ensure that established policies and procedures are followed, and that customers and prospective customers are served promptly and professionally. The manager will also supervise lobby and teller staff and ensure that banking center transactions, expenses, and profitability align with the Bank’s standards.
Other responsibilities include maintaining proper cash controls, supervising banking center staff for optimal performance, establishing and maintaining effective professional business relations with customers, and administering banking center functions effectively. The manager will also be required to perform related functions as required or assigned, which may include filling in and performing duties in banking center positions as needed and attending assigned training sessions.
Qualifications for the Position
Prosperity Bank requires applicants for the Banking Center Manager position to have an Associate degree in business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and work experience. Applicants must have a thorough knowledge of Bank services and products, an understanding of related legal and regulatory requirements, and familiarity with branch functions, policies, and procedures. A minimum of three years of related experience in a financial institution, with at least two years in a supervisory role is also required.
Other essential skills and abilities include strong interpersonal, leadership, and supervisory skills, the ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain an effective and efficient workflow.
