Job Overview
The Banking Associate plays a key role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location. This role is responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions, providing advice, and offering educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
Experience, Expertise, and Skills Required
The ideal candidate must possess a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience working with customers in any capacity. This experience can be demonstrated even through volunteering or military service. A teller experience is also preferred. The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. A Notary License is also preferred.
Key Responsibilities
The Banking Associate will perform a wide range of tasks including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. They will deliver end-to-end advice customers expect: building trust with educational content & tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights & recommendations. They are expected to use TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers to acquire and deepen relationships.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
The role may require occasional domestic travel and the ability to perform sedentary work. The position also requires the ability to perform multiple tasks and operate standard office equipment. The Banking Associate will need to respond quickly to sounds, and be comfortable with sitting, standing, and walking for frequent periods. They should be capable of lifting/carrying items under and over 25 lbs occasionally.
