A Consumer Product Manager at Seacoast Bank is a strategic role that involves managing and developing consumer banking products. Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Development
The Consumer Product Manager must define and implement product strategies that align with customer needs and business goals. This includes leading the development and launch of new consumer banking products and features while keeping a close eye on industry trends and competitor offerings.
Portfolio Management
Managing the lifecycle of consumer deposit products is a significant part of the role. This includes ensuring the competitiveness and compliance of these products, optimizing pricing, features, and positioning to drive growth and retention, and analyzing product performance metrics for further improvements.
Customer Experience & Innovation
The Consumer Product Manager must collaborate with UX, digital, and operations teams to enhance customer journeys. The role involves championing customer feedback and insights to inform product decisions and driving digital transformation initiatives within the consumer product suite.
Product Quality Assurance
Quality is paramount in this role. The successful candidate will establish and maintain quality standards across all consumer banking products, collaborate with operations and technology teams to ensure defect-free products, implement continuous improvement processes based on testing outcomes, and monitor post-launch performance to proactively identify and resolve quality issues.
Cross-Functional Leadership
This role requires collaboration with marketing, compliance, legal, finance, and technology teams. The candidate will develop go-to-market plans, support product campaigns, and ensure regulatory compliance and risk management across all product initiatives.
Financial Performance
As a Consumer Product Manager, the candidate will own product P&L, including revenue, cost, and profitability targets. They will also develop business cases for new initiatives and track ROI.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred). They should also have at least 3 years of experience in product management, preferably in consumer banking or financial services. A strong understanding of retail banking products, customer behavior, and market dynamics is essential. The candidate should also have proven leadership skills, excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, and experience with digital banking platforms and fintech partnerships.
Preferred Skills
Preferred skills for this role include familiarity with product development methodologies, proficiency in data analysis tools (Tableau, SAS, etc.), proficiency in Microsoft Office tool set (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), and knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting consumer banking.
