Job Description and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate is a key figure in delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location. This professional in banking is responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals.
Some of the tasks that the Banking Associate will be expected to perform include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The Banking Associate will also need to deliver end-to-end advice customers expect, utilizing TD’s systems and tools to engage with Customers, understand their financial needs, and identify opportunities to promote and educate on products and services.
Education & Experience Requirements
As for the qualifications, the ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of experience working with customers in any capacity. This can be demonstrated through any of the following: volunteering, education, or military experience. Furthermore, the candidate should have excellent communication skills, demonstrate effective problem-solving skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. Having a Notary License is preferred but not mandatory.
Customer Accountabilities
As a Banking Associate, you will be expected to consistently provide legendary customer service, establish and nurture customer relationships, manage wait times to meet with a Banker, engage in lobby leadership, and understand and support the Bank’s customer service strategy.
Shareholder Accountabilities
In addition to these customer-related responsibilities, the Banking Associate will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures, accurately processing cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions and other account servicing requests, and following all required open/close procedures.
