The Role of a Banking Associate at TD
The Banking Associate role is a key position within TD’s Personal & Commercial Banking Line of Business. This role is accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions, providing advice, and offering educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate performs a wide range of tasks, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The role involves delivering end-to-end advice customers expect, utilizing TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, understanding customer financial needs, and accurately completing everyday banking transactions.
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants are expected to have a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of experience working with customers in any capacity. Previous teller experience is preferred. The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent customer service skills, strong organizational skills, effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and within deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and a notary license is preferred.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
As a Banking Associate, you may need to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This includes operating standard office equipment, responding quickly to sounds, sitting, standing, walking, and occasionally moving safely in confined spaces. Occasional lifting or carrying of items under 25 lbs may also be required.
