Job Details and Compensation
The Banking Associate position is a full-time role, requiring 40 hours per week. The pay scale ranges from $23.75 to $31.00 per hour, but actual compensation may vary based on the candidate’s skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and geographic location. Job Description and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate plays a key role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at the store location. This role is accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals. The depth and scope of the job entail a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location; including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The Banking Associate is also tasked with delivering end-to-end advice customers expect, utilizing TD’s systems and tools, understanding customer financial needs, and connecting with customers to deepen relationships and provide financial advice. This position requires excellent customer service skills, strong organization skills, efficient problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions
The job requires a mix of sedentary work, multiple tasks, and operation of standard office equipment. The role involves responding quickly to sounds, sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting/carrying of items under and over 25 lbs. The Banking Associate will also need to apply common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations and perform tasks such as reading, writing, and comprehending instructions and adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
Training and Onboarding
TD Bank ensures that new hires receive adequate training and onboarding sessions to succeed in their new role. This includes teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire. The bank also provides regular leadership and development conversations to mentorship and training programs to support the career growth of its colleagues.
