Overview of the Role
The Banking Associate is a key player in the delivery of TD’s Brand Promise at a store location. The individual in this role is responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
As an integral part of the Personal & Commercial Banking unit, the Banking Associate will be tasked with an array of responsibilities that extend across multiple areas within a store location. This includes processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The associate will also provide end-to-end advice and guidance to attract and retain customers, utilizing TD’s systems and tools to deepen relationships.
Qualifications and Experience
TD Bank values a diverse set of skills and experiences in its colleagues. The ideal candidate for the Banking Associate role should have a high school diploma or GED, with at least one year of experience working with customers in any capacity. This experience could come from a variety of sources, including volunteering, education, or military experience. Teller experience is preferred, but not essential.
Other desirable qualities include strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, effective problem-solving skills, and the capacity to work independently and within deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is an added advantage, and a Notary License is preferred.
Work Hours and Compensation
This role offers a flexible work schedule of 20 hours per week. The pay rates for this position range from $22.00 – $27.75 USD.
