The Role of a Banking Center Area Manager at Prosperity Bank
One of the positions that may be available at Prosperity Bank is that of a Banking Center Area Manager. The person in this role is responsible for managing and supporting a group of 20 – 30 Banking Centers/Banking Center Managers. This is a critical role that requires a high level of responsibility, expertise, and dedication.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties
The Banking Center Area Manager has numerous responsibilities, including hosting periodic meetings to distribute information and cultivate operations uniformity, coordinating and monitoring audits, and traveling to various locations to ensure that facilities are up to par and operating as expected. The manager also interacts with the Operations Committee members regarding banking center matters and acts upon the requests of the EVP/Cashier and CFO.
Another important aspect of the role is establishing relationships and open communication with Area Leaders such as the Area President and Chairman. The manager is also responsible for coordinating and monitoring periodic scrub projects and/or data collection from banking centers, as well as compiling and distributing management reports to Banking Center Managers and the Area President/Chairman.
Policy & Procedures
The Banking Center Area Manager is expected to comply 100% with all Prosperity Bank applicable policies and procedures, meet all compliance and security requirements 100% of the time, and maintain effective internal control standards.
Education/Certification and Experience Required
The ideal candidate for the Banking Center Area Manager position should have an associate degree or higher in business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and work experience. Thorough knowledge of bank services and products, understanding of related legal and regulatory requirements, and familiarity with banking center functions, policies, and procedures are also required. The candidate must have extensive bank lobby operations experience, strong knowledge of compliance and regulation procedures, and prior management experience.
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and supervisory skills are crucial for this role. The candidate must also be well organized, pay attention to detail, and be able to maintain an effective and efficient workflow. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products, are also necessary. The candidate must be a self-starter that can manage multiple projects/duties with minimal supervision and display a positive team-building attitude with associates in all departments.
