A Closer Look at Tom Hayes
Today we look at Tom Hayes, formerly a trader on top of the world. He allegedly made over $300m in two and a half years while working for UBS in his 20s, only to be implicated in an interest rates rigging scandal. He was arrested in 2015, at age 34 and sentenced to 11 years in prison.
This year, though, everything changed after Hayes’ conviction was overturned. He’s now looking for $400m in damages from UBS after what has been a traumatic ten years. Find out why he was arrested and what happened to him by watching the video below.
