Role Overview and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate, a professional in the banking sector, plays a pivotal role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at the store location. The role involves accurately completing everyday banking transactions, providing advice, and offering educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
Some of the key tasks include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on banking products and services. The Banking Associate also delivers end-to-end advice to customers, builds trust with educational content & tools, provides consultative support, and advocates with proactive insights & recommendations. Moreover, they use TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, acquire and deepen relationships, and promote banking products and services.
Required Skills and Experience
A high school diploma or GED is required for this role. If you have one year of experience working with customers in any capacity, which can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience, you are preferred for this role. Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are also desirable.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
The Banking Associate is expected to consistently provide legendary customer service while promoting, educating, and referring TD products to both new and existing customers. They should manage wait times effectively and represent the first point of contact for customer inquiries. Additionally, they have a responsibility to ensure compliance when completing operational activities in line with company guidelines, regulations, and Bank Secrecy Act and the Patriot Act.
