Role and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate primarily serves as a key player in delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location. This role involves executing everyday banking transactions accurately, providing advice, and offering educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. The associate will also be responsible for processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services.
The associate must be proactive in building trust with customers, providing consultative support, and advocating with insights and recommendations. They should be adept at using TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, acquire and deepen relationships, and deliver end-to-end advice that customers expect. Understanding customer financial needs is key to identifying opportunities to promote and educate on products, services, and to refer them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner while ensuring a positive customer experience.
Education and Experience
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED. One year of experience working with customers in any capacity is preferred, and this can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Teller experience is also preferred. Applicants must have strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required. A Notary License is also preferred.
Physical Requirements
The role requires the ability to perform multiple tasks and operate standard office equipment continuously. Sitting, standing, and walking are frequently required, while lifting and carrying items under 25 lbs. are occasionally required. Concentration for long periods of time is necessary, along with the application of common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations. A majority of the work is sedentary, with occasional domestic travel required.
