- Initiating contact with current and prospective customers to promote new and additional business for the Bank, thereby achieving specific calling program objectives in relation to loan, deposit, and referral goals.
- Representing the company in the community by engaging with major existing and prospective customers to develop new business and expand existing relationships.
- Providing service to customers on various banking matters, including the explanation of products and services and professional resolution of problems.
- Assisting in proposing and recommending new products and services through identifiable needs obtained from customer contacts and comments.
- Working closely with the market’s Banking Center Managers, Deposit & Electronic Product Specialist, and Private Banking Coordinator in developing various pricing and promotional strategies designed to achieve the branch’s customer relationship objectives.
- Analyzing and evaluating business development potential and implementing specific plans and strategies to profitably increase the branch’s market share.
- Providing frontline transactional support as needed and possibly accepting consumer loan applications.
- Promoting friendly relations with customers including local businesses, trade organizations, and service clubs.
- Assisting in the maintenance of a detailed customer contact and prospect system.
- Developing and maintaining an extensive knowledge of deposit products and electronic services.
- Participating in testing of new products and services to support continued customer growth and satisfaction.
Education and Certification Requirements
An Associate’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is typically required for this role. However, a combination of education and experience might also be acceptable. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
Minimum Requirements and Additional Qualifications
Exceptional business development, networking, relationship-building skills, and a strong understanding of sales principles are important for this role. Other necessary skills include exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills, proficiency in computer literacy, strong organizational and time management skills, and a positive and proactive approach to work. A current driver’s license and reliable transportation with appropriate insurance coverage are also necessary, as driving may occasionally be required in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
