Job Description and Responsibilities
As a Banking Associate, you will play a key role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at the store location. You will be held accountable for accurately processing everyday banking transactions, providing advice, and offering educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals. The role includes a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within the store location, such as processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers about banking products and services.
Depth & Scope of the Role
As a Banking Associate, you will be expected to deliver end-to-end advice that customers expect. This includes building trust with educational content and tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights and recommendations. You will utilize TD’s systems and tools to engage with Customers, acquire and deepen relationships, and promote the bank’s products and services.
As part of your responsibilities, you will also understand customer financial needs to identify opportunities to promote and educate on products and services. Furthermore, you will refer them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner, ensuring a positive customer experience.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers. This experience can be gained through any capacity, including volunteering, education, or military experience. Additional qualifications include strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A notary license is preferred but not required.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
As a Banking Associate, you will consistently provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. You will establish and nurture customer relationships by displaying product knowledge and actively listening to customer needs. You will also manage wait times to meet with a Banker by scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling client meetings.
On the shareholder side, you will ensure compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act to minimize risk and protect the customer.

Physical Requirements
The job involves occasional domestic travel and frequent sedentary work. You should be able to perform multiple tasks and operate standard office equipment continuously. The ability to respond quickly to sounds, sit, stand, and walk frequently, and move safely in confined spaces occasionally is required.
