Associate Relationship Banker Role at Webster

The Associate Relationship Banker role at Webster is a great opportunity to provide services for Banking Center customers and contribute to the team’s achievement of sales, service, and operational goals. This role involves processing all customer-related financial transactions in accordance with the bank’s rules, regulations, and guidelines.

Associate Relationship Bankers at Webster are expected to use excellent communication and active listening skills to learn about the customer’s financial needs, establish trust, optimize sales opportunities, generate leads, and provide quality customer service. They also play a crucial role in developing and maintaining a strong partnership with various business segments through collaboration and communication.

Key Responsibilities

Associate Relationship Bankers at Webster have a range of responsibilities that include but are not limited to the following:

  • Responding accurately and promptly to customers’ needs by utilizing available resources and tools.
  • Evaluating the needs of clients and offering appropriate financial products and services through needs-based conversations. This helps to build and deepen relationships with the clients.
  • Performing routine teller transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, check cash, loan payments, and other transactions.
  • Achieving or exceeding individual and team goals in sales, service, and operations.
  • Maintaining compliance with Federal and State regulations as well as bank policies and procedures.
  • Meeting or exceeding branch audits and operations evaluation requirements.

Education, Experience, and Skills

Prospective candidates for the Associate Relationship Banker role at Webster are expected to have the following qualifications and skills:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required, although candidates with advanced degrees (Associates and/or Bachelor’s) are preferred.
  • 6 months to 2 years of job experience in cash handling and customer service, with a preference for needs-based sales experience and banking experience.
  • The ability to work a flexible and/or rotating schedule, which may require working on Saturdays, Sundays, and extended hours. Travel may be required to alternate Banking Centers.
  • Self-starter and highly motivated individuals are highly desired.
  • Working knowledge of all products and services is essential.
  • Keeping current with all systems used for branch transaction processing.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills and the ability to support teamwork, creating a positive working environment.

The estimated salary range for this position is $18.50 to $20.00 USD per hour, although the actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
