Role Overview: Banking Services Specialist
One of the key roles at Commerce Bank is the Banking Services Specialist. The job entails delivering exceptional customer service and financial solutions through branch-based and call center interactions. This position serves as a crucial touchpoint for customers, addressing their banking needs, answering inquiries, and providing personalized support across various communication channels such as in-person, phone, and online.
Essential Functions of the Role
A Banking Services Specialist at Commerce Bank is expected to interact with customers both in person and over the phone to ensure their financial needs are met. This involves active listening and understanding customer needs, making recommendations of products and services, and ensuring financial transactions are completed accurately and efficiently.
The specialist also educates customers on a range of retail products and digital solutions, identifies complex financial needs and refers customers to bank specialists when appropriate, responds to customer calls, and uses CRM systems to track and resolve customer issues efficiently.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education & Experience
An Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required for this role. In addition, at least one year of retail banking and/or sales experience, and two years of customer service experience are required.
