About the Investment Bank: Corporate Finance: Financial Institutions Group (FIG)

The Corporate Finance Financial Institutions Group (FIG) provides the full spectrum of advisory and financing products and services of a leading global investment bank. FIG primarily advises banks (including Deutsche Bank itself), insurers, governments, asset managers, stock exchanges, FinTechs, and private equity firms. Moreover, FIG serves as Deutsche Bank’s Senior Executive Relationship Holder for the bank’s most important clients.

At FIG, they understand that choosing the right investment banking partner can be crucial to a company’s success. They provide both buy-side and sell-side advice on mergers and acquisitions, advise on restructurings, offer solutions for raising debt and equity capital (including their specialized ESG solutions), as well as structured equity transactions. They advise clients on cross-border and regional transactions in the USA, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region.

Intern’s Responsibilities

The intern will work on projects that help clients achieve their goals. Day-to-day tasks can vary depending on the role: from modeling customer financial statements and creating forecasts, evaluating companies and creating marketing materials for a client pitch or equity or debt issuance, monitoring capital markets and interpreting relevant data for their clients, to participating in the implementation of live deals.

Qualifications

The internship provides interns with the technical skills needed for a career start. They value creativity and flexibility and are looking for entrepreneurial talents who can unfold their potential in their diverse culture. Some of the key qualifications required are being at least in the third semester of your studies (business, economics, industrial engineering, business informatics, business mathematics, or a comparable business-oriented degree program), having a keen interest in financial topics, having some practical experience, proficiency in MS office, fluent in German and English, and having excellent communication and analytical skills.
