A Challenging Role: Product Manager for Banking Services
The role of a Product Manager in Banking Services at Fifth Third Bank isn’t just about managing products. It’s about leading value-added services and ensuring they are optimized for profitability. It’s about managing their Immediate Funds product, allowing customers to deposit funds instantly, both at a branch or using their mobile app, for a small fee.
Additionally, the role requires the oversight of Foreign Currency products. Working in partnership with their vendor, Fifth Third Bank makes it possible for customers to buy or sell physical currency from other countries, primarily for travel purposes. This role could also open doors to branching out into episodic jobs and identifying additional value-added services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
In this role, you will have several key responsibilities. These include creating, enhancing, and managing products and programs to meet goals and increase profitability. You will have to stay abreast of new developments in customer segments, evaluate potential products, and recommend the development of new products or the modification of existing ones.
You will also coordinate and direct the design and development of new products and the modification of existing products in conjunction with various teams. Reviewing the success of new products and recommending changes in the product or marketing strategy as necessary will also be part of your role.
Furthermore, you’ll be required to ensure regulatory compliance is maintained on all existing products and interpret and enforce product policies and guidelines across affiliates, departments, and customers.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related business field. A minimum of four years of product management and development experience, preferably within the financial industry, is required. You should also have strong technical skills, excellent presentation and communication skills, and strong analytical skills and project management experience.

The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
