Role and Responsibilities
The opportunity TD Bank presents is for a Banking Associate role, a key position within their Personal & Commercial Banking line of business. The Banking Associate is a professional in banking and is responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
Some of the responsibilities of the role include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, providing end-to-end advice, and utilizing TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers. The associate also identifies customer financial needs to promote and educate on products and services or refer them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner, all while ensuring a positive customer experience.
Education, Experience, and Skills
The ideal candidate for the Banking Associate position should have at least a high school diploma or GED, with a year of experience working with customers in any capacity. Demonstrated customer service skills are preferred, as are strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A Notary License is also preferred but not required.

TD Bank places a strong emphasis on customer service, with the Banking Associate expected to consistently provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. The associate is also expected to manage wait times efficiently and represent the first point of contact for customer inquiries.
From a shareholder perspective, the associate is expected to ensure compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act to minimize risk and protect the customer.
