Defining Features of the Role
The Banking Associate is a professional in banking and plays a key role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location. This role involves multiple tasks across the store location, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
Using TD’s systems and tools, the Banking Associate engages with customers to deepen relationships by providing advice, guidance, and proactive insights. The associate also uncovers customer financial needs, educates customers on products and services, and refers them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner to ensure a positive customer experience.
Education and Experience
Applicants for the Banking Associate position should hold a High School Diploma or GED. A year’s experience working with customers in any capacity, demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience, is preferred. Teller experience, strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are among the desired skills. A Notary License is preferred but not required.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
Banking Associates at TD Bank are expected to provide legendary customer service while promoting and educating customers about TD Products. They also manage client meetings, engage in lobby leadership, support the Bank’s customer service strategy, and ensure all tasks are performed within established policy and procedures. In addition, they ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures related to operational activities such as cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions and new account openings.
