The Banking Associate plays a key role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at a location. This role is accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. This falls under the line of business of Personal & Commercial Banking.
Key Responsibilities and Scope of the Role
The Banking Associate has a varied role, performing a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a store location. This includes processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The associate also delivers end-to-end advice that customers expect, builds trust with educational content & tools, provides consultative support, and advocates with proactive insights & recommendations.
The associate uses TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers and deepen relationships by providing advice and guidance. This helps attract and retain the customer. The associate also understands customer financial needs and identifies opportunities to promote and educate on products and services, referring them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner while ensuring a positive customer experience.
Education and Experience Requirements
A high school diploma or GED is required. Other requirements include one year of experience working with customers in any capacity, demonstrated customer service skills, and the ability to work during operating hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Teller experience is preferred, and strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, demonstrated problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential. A Notary License is also preferred.
