Role of a Business Banking Implementation Specialist I at Fiserv
The Business Banking Implementation Specialist I at Fiserv is a pivotal role within the Digital Solutions Abiliti implementation team. The specialist leads and manages client implementations, training, consulting, and offers support throughout the project life cycle. Implementations may be part of a larger conversion or a single product installation.
As a Business Banking SME, the specialist might be responsible for an overall client implementation across retail and business banking or work on highly complex business banking aspects across a portfolio of projects. The role demands a deep understanding of business banking features and the ability to configure and troubleshoot these features. The specialist also guides other Implementation Analysts with their projects and business banking scope items.
Responsibilities of the Role
The Business Banking Implementation Specialist I is expected to lead multiple implementation projects with defined timelines for Fiserv clients. This entails tracking, organizing, documenting, and communicating all product implementation-related activities for each client. Other responsibilities include acting as a liaison between various parties for projects involving multiple product offerings or interfaces for Fiserv and third-party vendors.
The specialist should develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Fiserv products and services and stay abreast of industry trends and best practices. Being a subject matter expert in the products being implemented, including resolving product and/or technical issues, is crucial.
What Fiserv is Looking for?
Candidates should hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems, or possess equivalent experience. A minimum of 7 years of experience with Commercial/Business Banking at a Financial Institution or a Financial Services corporation serving banks or credit unions is required.
Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years of experience with customer-facing projects or in a client support role. Core computer skills, strong communication abilities, research, problem-solving and analytical skills are also essential.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Fiserv core or Online Banking, time management skills, basic networking and data communication understanding, and Project Management experience or PMP certification would be advantageous.
Work Environment
This role requires in-person collaboration and is based on-site from Monday to Friday. Fiserv values in-person interaction for better onboarding experiences and increased productivity. The position is a full-time, direct-hire role.
