Essential Job Functions: Tending to the Customer’s Financial Needs

Banking professionals are expected to cultivate professional relationships with customers. This involves engaging customers in meaningful conversations about their financial needs, making appropriate recommendations, and referring them to banking center team members or line of business partners, when necessary.

These professionals are also responsible for opening and servicing deposit accounts and processing account transactions accurately and efficiently. This is crucial to minimize errors and reduce fraud. They are also required to participate actively in morning huddles, business development, and constructive coaching conversations with leadership.

Attending to Customer Concerns and Promoting Teamwork

Empathy is a key trait in this role, as banking professionals must proactively resolve client concerns in a timely, professional, and positive manner. They must also collaborate effectively with line of business partners to foster teamwork, exceptional customer service, and continuous learning. This includes leading by example, taking the initiative to assist others, and enthusiastically supporting the bank’s values and mission.

Professionalism and Integrity

Banking professionals are expected to display a high degree of integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism at all times. They must adhere to all Bank policies, procedures, and guidelines, and complete all essential training timely. Technical Skills and Flexibility

These professionals should also have the skill in using computer and Microsoft Office applications necessary to perform essential job functions. They should have the ability to travel to other work locations, as needed, demonstrating a flexible approach to their work.

Basic Qualifications: The Foundation for Success

A high school diploma or equivalent is essential for banking professionals, with a bachelor’s degree preferred. They should have at least a year’s experience interacting with people and displaying excellent service skills. Basic knowledge of personal finance and household budgeting is also required. Experience in retail customer service and/or sales is preferred.
