Bringing the Brand to Life

Capital One is seeking an experienced Principal Associate Retail Marketing Engagement to drive visibility to its innovative brand of defining cafes. This influential role is designed for an individual who has a proven track record in developing and executing large-scale campaigns across multiple channels. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work across digital, social, and physical channels to engage new and existing customers, while building and amplifying cafés within the Capital One network.

A Key Role in the Integrated Marketing Team

The Principal Associate of Retail Marketing Engagement, reporting to the Bank’s Senior Manager of Retail Marketing, is a key member of the Bank’s Integrated Marketing team. This is a high-performing team dedicated to amplifying the Capital One brand, driving awareness, and deepening customer engagement. The role demands a candidate who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, navigating an ever-changing business landscape, and delivering results that will impact the future of the Bank.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

The role involves multiple responsibilities, from overseeing marketing creative projects to optimizing “Now Open” campaigns and ongoing consumer engagement initiatives across all relevant marketing channels. The individual will lead the planning and execution of always-on content across internal platforms, email, digital channels, and social media to continuously engage customers and reinforce brand storytelling.

Basic qualifications for this position include a Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience, and at least four years of experience in digital or social marketing, partnering with creative teams, and planning, executing, and analyzing marketing campaigns. Preferred qualifications include over five years of experience in marketing strategy, driving creative strategy, and marketing testing plans, and working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.

Salary and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position varies by location. For example, in McLean, VA, the range is $120,800 – $137,900 for Principal Associate, Marketing, whereas in Wilmington, DE, the range is $109,900 – $125,400. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives.
