Role and Responsibilities of a Banking Associate
As a Banking Associate, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering TD’s brand promise at a store location. This position is responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions. Moreover, you’ll provide advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
The role involves a wide range of tasks including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on various banking products and services. As a Banking Associate, you’ll be expected to build trust with customers, provide consultative support, and advocate with proactive insights and recommendations. Your aim should be to attract, retain, and deepen customer relationships.
Education and Experience Requirements
The educational requirement for this role is a high school diploma or GED. TD Bank values any experience working with customers and prefers candidates who have demonstrated customer service skills. Teller experience is also preferred, but not mandatory. Notable skills required for the role include excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, strong organization skills, and the ability to work independently and within deadlines.
Customer Accountabilities
A Banking Associate will consistently provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. They will play a crucial role in establishing and nurturing customer relationships, managing wait times, conducting lobby leadership, and understanding and supporting the bank’s customer service strategy.
Shareholder Accountabilities
Beyond customer services, the role includes compliance and operational responsibilities such as accurately processing cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions, adhering to company guidelines and regulations, and ensuring compliance with all internal/external audit and regulatory requirements.
