Banking Associate Role in Farmington, Maine
A unique opportunity has arisen for a Banking Associate at TD’s Farmington, Maine branch. This key role is focused on delivering TD’s brand promise at the store location. The associate will be accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions, providing advice, and offering educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. The role has a depth and scope that spans across multiple areas within a Store location, from processing customer transactions to opening new accounts and educating customers on all banking products and services.
Role Responsibilities and Requirements
Delivering end-to-end advice customers expect, the Banking Associate builds trust with educational content & tools, provides consultative support, and advocates with proactive insights & recommendations. Utilizing TD’s systems and tools, the associate engages with Customers to acquire and deepen relationships, providing advice and guidance to attract and retain them.
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED, and have at least a year’s experience working with customers in any capacity. Teller experience is preferred, and strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required. The ability to schedule and prioritize work, work independently and within deadlines, and apply sound judgment in decision making and problem-solving is essential.
Customer Accountabilities
Key accountabilities include consistently providing legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. The role requires establishing and nurturing customer relationships by consistently displaying product knowledge, actively listening to customer needs while engaging in additional conversations to identify any additional needs and offer a solution or partner referral.
Shareholder Accountabilities
From a shareholder perspective, the associate ensures compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations such as Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act to minimize risk and protect the customer. Additionally, the associate accurately processes cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions and other account servicing requests.

Physical Requirements of the Role
The role demands certain physical requirements like performing multiple tasks, operating standard office equipment, responding quickly to sounds, sitting, standing, walking, moving safely in confined spaces, and lifting/carrying items under and over 25 lbs occasionally.
