Role of a Banking Associate at TD
The Banking Associate plays a key role in delivering TD’s brand promise at a store location in New York, NY. The role involves accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. The banking associate performs a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a store location, delivers end-to-end advice customers expect, and utilizes TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers and deepen relationships.
Education and Experience Requirements
The ideal candidate would possess a high school diploma or a GED along with at least 1 year of experience working with customers. This experience could be demonstrated through volunteering, education, military experience, or other related activities. Demonstrated customer service skills, teller experience, and strong organizational skills are preferred. The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office and should possess effective problem-solving skills, sound judgment in decision making, and the ability to work independently within deadlines. Holding a Notary License is considered an asset.
Accountabilities of a Banking Associate
At TD, a Banking Associate is accountable to the customer, shareholders, and the team. This role is involved in consistently providing legendary customer service, establishing and nurturing customer relationships, managing wait times, and ensuring compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures. Physical Requirements and Work Conditions
As a Banking Associate, one would have to perform multiple tasks, operate standard office equipment, and respond quickly to sounds. This role involves frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Occasional domestic travel may be required. The role also involves occasional lifting and carrying items under and over 25 lbs. The Associate is also required to apply common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations while continuously reading, writing and comprehending instructions.
