The Role of a Banking Associate
The Banking Associate plays a crucial role in delivering TD’s brand promise at the store location. This professional in banking is responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions, providing advice, and offering educational support on various services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. The role requires performing a wide range of tasks, including opening new accounts, processing customer transactions, and educating customers on all banking products and services.
The Banking Associate is also responsible for providing holistic advice to customers, which includes building trust with educational content and tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights and recommendations. Essential Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate for this role should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers. This experience can be demonstrated through various means, including volunteering, education, and military experience. Preferred skills include demonstrated customer service skills, teller experience, strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
