The position offers a competitive salary range of $120,000.00 – $130,000.00, but the actual compensation may vary depending on the candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.

A Glimpse into Global Banking and Markets (GBM)

GBM, Scotiabank’s Capital Markets and Investment Banking business, offers a full range of investment banking, credit, and risk management products and services. It caters to the financing and strategic development needs of clients, providing debt and equity financing, mergers & acquisitions, corporate banking, and more.

Joining the Global Securitization team in the United States means contributing to the overall success of the team and ensuring that business strategies and objectives are executed effectively. All activities need to follow governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Role & Responsibilities

The Analyst will work closely with issuers, deal counsels, rating agencies, 3rd party service providers, ABS syndicate, and sales teams to execute transactions. They will also manage the lifecycle of securitization financing transactions, coordinate activities with the mid-office and back office, and assist in negotiating terms and documentation with borrowers and other banks.

The Analyst will also be responsible for preparing pitch books and marketing presentations, maintaining the existing portfolio, attending due diligence meetings, and reviewing monthly servicer reports. Upholding the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture is a critical responsibility in day-to-day activities and decision-making processes.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

Successful candidates should have a sound knowledge of securitization fundamentals, preferably with experience in ABS. A degree in Business or a related field is required, while an MBA/CPA/CFA or other industry designation is helpful. Familiarity with Word, Excel, PowerPoint is necessary, along with excellent communication skills. A high level of commitment, a strong sense of teamwork, and Series 63 & 79 are preferred skills.
