The Role of a Banking Associate at TD Bank
The Banking Associate role is a professional position in banking, playing a key role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at the store location. The associate is accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions, providing advice, and educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals. The role involves a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within the store location, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services.
Responsibilities and Skills
As a Banking Associate, the successful candidate will perform many tasks such as delivering end-to-end advice to customers, utilizing TD’s systems and tools to engage with Customers, understanding customer financial needs, and accurately completing everyday banking transactions. The ability to work independently, demonstrate effective problem-solving skills, and have strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment is crucial for this role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must, and a Notary License is preferred.
Physical Requirements
Being a Banking Associate requires a mix of sedentary and active work. Frequent standing, walking, and performing multiple tasks are part of the job. Occasional lifting/carrying (under 25 lbs.), bending, squatting, and reaching forward are also part of the role. The ideal candidate should be able to concentrate for long periods of time, apply common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations, and perform mathematical operations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
