The Role of a Relationship Executive within Beverage Banking

This position serves as the primary point of contact for client acquisition and ongoing relationships. As a Relationship Executive, you’ll work independently and as part of a team to introduce comprehensive solutions to clients. Deep Knowledge of Solutions is Key

Our Relationship Executives are required to have an in-depth working knowledge of our solutions. These include, but are not limited to: Credit, Treasury Services, International Banking, Syndicated Finance, Commercial Card, and Chase Paymentech Solutions. The most successful Relationship Executives employ a methodical approach to market activity and prospecting. Given our local delivery approach, the ideal candidate will have deep local connections and market knowledge.

Job Responsibilities

A Relationship Executive has to fulfill a range of responsibilities. These include:

  • Championing a culture of innovation and a customer-centric mindset
  • Staying abreast of industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation or strategic partnerships
  • Improving efficiency with existing technical infrastructure through automation, while embracing the innovative opportunities offered by new technologies
  • Proactively covering a multi-state/segment territory on the East Coast and Midwest, which requires a willingness to travel for in-person client meetings
  • Partnering with colleagues within Commercial & Specialized Industries, primarily with Core, TDC/DCI and MNC as a Discipline Model
  • Becoming the industry expert within beverage across multiple sectors including wholesale distribution, brands and suppliers, and co-manufacturing for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Actively partnering across lines of business including but not limited to: Investment Banking, Syndicated Finance, Asset Based Lending and Direct Lending

Required and Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

For this role, a variety of qualifications, capabilities, and skills are required and preferred.

Required

  • 8 plus years’ direct lending or credit support related experience with a focus on business relationships
  • Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services
  • Ability to collaborate with internal partners and resources
  • Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with senior business and control partners
  • FINRA Series 79, 63 and Securities Industry Essentials licenses required or must obtain within 180 days of hire

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree and formal credit training preferred
  • Sales management, business development skills, proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships
  • Strong creative solution, problem solving abilities, flexible to changing business priorities and ability to multitask
  • Excellent business judgment, strategic thinking, self-directed, proactive, and creative
