Understanding the Role: Banking Associate
The offered role is that of a Banking Associate. This position is a critical component in delivering TD’s brand promise at a store location. The Banking Associate is responsible for accurately processing everyday banking transactions, providing advice, and offering educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
Tasks and Responsibilities
A Banking Associate at TD performs a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a store location. This includes processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers about all banking products and services. The role also involves delivering end-to-end advice to customers, using TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers and deepen relationships, understanding customer financial needs, and accurately completing everyday banking transactions either on the teller line or on the platform.
Education and Experience
The banking associate position requires a high school diploma or GED. Candidates should have at least one year of experience working with customers. This experience can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Teller experience is preferred, and successful candidates will be required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire. Candidates should also possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A notary license is preferred.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
The Banking Associate plays an integral role in consistently providing legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to both new and existing customers. In addition to managing wait times and engaging with customers, the Banking Associate is also responsible for ensuring tasks are performed within established policy and procedures and ensuring ongoing compliance with internal/external audit and regulatory requirements.

Physical Requirements
