The bank is currently looking to hire a Banking Associate for their store location in Chatham, New Jersey.

Role and Responsibilities

The Banking Associate will play a central role in delivering on TD’s brand promise. The role involves accurately executing everyday banking transactions, providing advice, and offering educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. The role entails handling a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within the store location, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers about various banking products and services.

Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities

The Banking Associate has a challenging role in building and nurturing customer relationships, managing wait times for customers to meet with a banker, and ensuring compliance with regulations and company guidelines. The job requires a proactive approach, engaging in lobby leadership and being the first point of contact for customer inquiries. The associate is also expected to uphold TD’s customer service strategy and consider the impact of decisions on the well-being of TD, its customers, and stakeholders.

Education & Experience

Applicants should have at least a high school diploma or GED. They should also have at least 1 year of experience working with customers in any capacity. This could be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Teller experience would be preferred and the candidate will be required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are also desirable. A Notary License is preferred.

Physical Requirements & Work Location

The Banking Associate role involves a mix of sedentary and standing work, with occasional lifting and carrying. The job holder must also be able to concentrate for long periods of time and apply common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations. The work location is in Chatham, New Jersey, United States of America. The role requires 20 hours of work per week.

Compensation Details

The pay rate for this role is between $23.75 – $31.00 USD per hour. The exact pay offered may vary based on the candidate’s skills and experience, job-related knowledge, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
