The Role of Manager of Banking & Capital Markets
Located at the corporate office in Newport News, Virginia, HII offers an intriguing opportunity for a Manager of Banking & Capital Markets. This position involves managing all aspects of banking relationships, capital markets relationships, rating agency relationships along with ensuring compliance with credit agreements and bond indentures.
Responsibilities and Expectations
The Manager of Banking & Capital Markets is entrusted with overseeing debt and derivative management, including interest rate analysis/optimization and foreign exchange risk mitigation. They also manage the Company’s share repurchase program through detailed analysis and reporting. The Manager plays a crucial role in developing and executing capital structure strategies, supporting long-range strategic growth initiatives, and evaluating cash deployment opportunities to assess their impact on the Company’s credit profile. Ensuring accurate accounting, invoicing, and payment processing for all activities within the Banking & Capital Markets function is also part of the job description.
Requisite Skills and Experience
To excel in this role, the Manager must possess a strong understanding of corporate finance, capital markets, and treasury operations. Experience with debt instruments, derivatives, and risk management strategies is a must. The ability to analyze complex financial data and develop strategic recommendations is essential. Excellent communication and relationship management skills, a high level of attention to detail, and strong compliance awareness are also required.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree along with 8 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience, or a Master’s Degree with 6 years of relevant experience.
