These businesses generally have sales between $20 million and $100 million. While you will maintain a portfolio of your own, its size will typically be smaller, taking into account your management responsibilities.

Your team will usually consist of four to six bankers, and you will have indirect oversight over an underwriting staff, a sales/marketing assistant, a treasury sales officer, and client service professionals. This diverse team will enable you to provide comprehensive financial solutions to your clients.

Key Responsibilities of a Market Executive

As a Market Executive, you will be expected to champion a culture of innovation and customer-centric mentality. Staying aware of industry trends is crucial, enabling you to identify opportunities for innovation or strategic partnerships. A key part of your role will be driving efficiency with the existing technical infrastructure through automation, while also embracing the innovative opportunities offered by new technologies.

What Qualifications and Skills are Required?

As a highly responsible position, a Market Executive is expected to have a minimum of ten years of account relationship management experience, with a focus on business relationships. A deep understanding of Commercial Banking products and services is required, along with knowledge of the region and the ability to mobilize internal networks and resources.

Furthermore, you need to have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and have managed a commercial lending sales team. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are a must, along with creative problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While a bachelor’s degree and formal credit training are preferred, they are not mandatory. It would be beneficial if you have a strong technology background, with a particular focus on digital.
