Janney Montgomery Scott Welcomes New Team from Merrill

Janney Montgomery Scott is excited to announce the addition of the Warren-Fantano Wealth Management team to their roster. This four-person team, previously from Merrill, is bringing their expertise and client assets to Janney’s new office in Middletown, Delaware, as well as an existing office in Lewes, Delaware.

Meet the Team

The Warren-Fantano Wealth Management team is led by financial advisors Peni Warren and Chris Fantano. They are joined by private client associates Crystal Van Lenten and Catherine Huffman. With a combined experience of decades in the industry, this team is well-equipped to provide top-notch service to their clients.

Peni Warren began her career at Merrill in 1983, while Chris Fantano joined the firm in 2013 after starting his career at Wells Fargo. Their track record of success speaks for itself, as they previously managed approximately $1 billion in client assets at Merrill.

Why Janney?

Warren-Fantano Wealth Management team chose to make the move to Janney because of the firm’s boutique size and collaborative culture. They value the flexibility that Janney offers, allowing them to run their practice while still having access to the resources needed to serve their clients effectively.

In a recent earnings call, Merrill executives highlighted the low rate of advisor attrition within the firm. Despite this, the Warren-Fantano team saw an opportunity for growth and development at Janney, ultimately leading to their decision to make the move.

Janney’s Growth

Janney Montgomery Scott was acquired by private equity giant KKR in 2024, marking a new chapter for the Philadelphia-based firm. With over 900 advisors and $150 billion in assets under management, Janney is well-positioned for continued success in the wealth management industry.
