Main Responsibilities
The Associate Bank Financial Advisor role at Wells Fargo involves several responsibilities that align with the company’s financial advisory function. This includes:
- Undergoing the Wells Fargo Advisors training program. This program is geared towards meeting personal, professional, and organizational client service and financial goals.
- Reviewing basic or tactical client goals and risk tolerance, assessing investment profiles, and evaluating client financial needs related to lower risk tasks and deliverables with narrower impact.
- Interacting with customers and assessing their needs. This may include referring customers interested in a dwelling secured product to a SAFE team member, and assisting customers without taking an application and without offering or negotiating terms of a dwelling secured transaction. This position requires adherence to the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO).
Required and Desired Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Wells Fargo expects its prospective Associate Bank Financial Advisors to meet certain qualifications, including:
- At least 6 months of experience in Customer Service, Sales, or Relationship Building, or equivalent experience demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Successful completion of the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam or equivalent.
Desired Qualifications
In addition to the required qualifications, the following qualifications are desirable:
- FINRA registration including Series 7 and 66 (or FINRA recognized equivalents).
- State Variable, Life and Health insurance licenses.
- Experience in financial services and client services.
- Experience developing and managing client relationships.
- Sales or sales support experience.
- A BS/BA degree or higher.
Job Expectations and Further Details
The Associate Bank Financial Advisor role comes with certain expectations and requirements.
