With the digital revolution transforming our society and industries, product management at Capital One is a thriving, dynamic craft that demands rethinking the status quo. It involves identifying opportunities for value creation and propelling innovative, sustainable customer experiences through technology. The company believes that its diverse portfolio and investments in growth and transformation will lead to an organization with the scale, brand, capabilities, talent, and values to succeed in this digital age.
About the Team
As a Product Manager for Bank Messaging at Capital One, you will be a key player in a high-impact team consisting of engineers, designers, and data scientists. This squad is responsible for constructing the “connective tissue” of the Consumer Bank. The role is not about managing notifications alone; it involves being a leading architect of a high-scale, omnichannel messaging strategy that serves millions of customers across a unified ecosystem.
Role and Responsibilities
Your role is positioned at the crossroads of cutting-edge infrastructure and consumer trust. This involves responsibilities such as:
- Platform Integration & Regulatory Governance: You will lead the crucial testing, validation, and delivery of regulatory messages across all channels, including Email, SMS, Push, and digital or paper documents. Your expertise will ensure that every mandated disclosure and “Next Best Action” is technically accurate and compliant as the bank migrates and integrates a substantial customer base.
- Omnichannel Strategy: Your role will be to reimagine the digital tools that safeguard our customers. This involves alerting them to fraud or guiding them through their financial journey at the right moment via the most effective channel.
If you are a “Systems Thinker” who can navigate the complex logic of back-ends while maintaining a relentless focus on the human being on the other side of the screen, this role is for you. You’ll turn intricate compliance requirements into seamless digital experiences, ensuring that one of the largest integrations in banking history is invisible to the customer but failsafe to the regulator.
