Role Specifications
This part-time role requires 30 hours of work per week. The pay scale ranges from $23.75 to $31.00 USD per hour, with actual pay varying based on the candidate’s skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs. The role is under the Personal & Commercial Banking line of business.
Job Description
The Banking Associate is an integral part of TD Bank’s store location team. They are responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. The role involves processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers about banking products and services.
Skills and Experience Required
Applicants for this position should have at least a high school diploma or GED. One year of experience working with customers in any capacity is preferred. This could be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Other preferred skills include demonstrated customer service skills, teller experience, excellent communication skills, and strong organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a Notary License are also preferred.
Customer Accountabilities
The Banking Associate is expected to provide legendary customer service, manage wait times for customers to meet with a banker, engage in lobby leadership, and understand and support the Bank’s customer service strategy. Additionally, they are expected to drive referrals to store colleagues and partners and ensure tasks are performed within established policy and procedures.
Shareholder Accountabilities
The Banking Associate is also responsible for ensuring compliance with company guidelines and regulations, accurately processing cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions, and decisions & processes everyday transactions such as opening/closing accounts and servicing accounts.
Employee/Team Accountabilities
As a team member, the Banking Associate is expected to contribute to a positive work environment, be an active participant in personal performance and development activities, collaborate with team members, and actively seek opportunities to improve delivery of work.
Physical Requirements
The role involves a mix of sedentary work and physical activity. This includes responding to sounds, sitting, standing, walking, and occasionally lifting or carrying items under 25 lbs.
