Role of a Banking Associate
As a Banking Associate, you will play a crucial role in delivering TD’s brand promise at a store location. Your primary responsibilities include accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. You will be accountable for a wide range of tasks within a store location, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers about all banking products and services.
Depth & Scope of the Role
Your role as a Banking Associate will involve tasks across multiple areas within a Store location. These tasks may include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts and educating customers on all banking products and services. You will be responsible for delivering end-to-end advice customers expect by building trust with educational content & tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights & recommendations.
You will also utilize TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, aiming to acquire and deepen relationships by providing advice and guidance. Furthermore, you will understand customer financial needs to identify opportunities for the promotion and education of products, services, and referrals to appropriate team members or internal Bank partners, ensuring a positive customer experience at all times.
Education & Experience Requirements
The ideal candidate for the Banking Associate role should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers in any capacity. This experience can be demonstrated through various avenues, such as volunteering, education, or military experience. Other preferred skills include demonstrated customer service skills, teller experience, strong organization skills, excellent communication, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A Notary License is also preferred.
Physical Requirements of the Role
The physical requirements of the Banking Associate role include frequent sitting, standing, walking, and performing multiple tasks.
