Role Specifications and Expectations
The Banking Associate role requires the completion of everyday banking transactions and providing advice to customers about various services, products, and tools that can help them fulfill their financial goals. As a Banking Associate, you will be expected to perform a wide range of tasks, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers about banking products and services.
You will be expected to deliver end-to-end advice to customers, build trust with them through educational content and tools, provide consultative support, and advocate with proactive insights and recommendations. It is paramount that you understand the financial needs of customers and accurately complete everyday banking transactions. You will also be required to service customers with opening and closing personal deposit accounts, completing everyday bank transactions, resolving debit/credit card issues, and assisting with mobile and online banking.
Qualifications and Experience
TD Bank seeks candidates with a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers. This could be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Teller experience is preferred, and candidates will be required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire.
Other essential skills include strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to schedule and prioritize work. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a Notary License are also preferred.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions
The role requires the occasional lifting and carrying of items under 25 lbs. and over 25 lbs. Candidates should be able to perform sedentary work and handle multiple tasks. The role may require domestic travel occasionally, but international travel is not required.
