The Role of a Senior Relationship Manager
As a Senior Relationship Manager at CIBC, your primary focus will be to grow direct revenue, retain high-net-worth client relationships, and expand the business within your portfolio. This position requires a deep understanding of client investment objectives and our organization’s strategies. You’ll be actively involved in networking and community events, all aimed at building a strong client base and providing exceptional relationship management.
How to Succeed in this Role
- Manage client relationships: You’ll be responsible for overseeing a portfolio to ensure client retention and business growth while aligning with client investment objectives and organizational policies.
- Expand your portfolio: You’ll have the opportunity to acquire new high-net-worth clients with complex financial needs, through targeted business development activities and collaboration with Business Development Officers.
- Drive profitability: You’ll be tasked with achieving revenue goals, controlling expenses, and monitoring profit performance, taking corrective actions as necessary.
- Deliver exceptional service: By leveraging your expertise in investment and wealth advisory services, you can provide best-in-class relationship management.
- Engage in client events: Active participation in client-focused events is crucial to enhance your business development efforts and strengthen relationships.
- Collaborate effectively: Building strong internal partnerships will enable you to deliver seamless, professional, and timely client service.
- Ensure compliance: You’ll need to implement and maintain effective operational and compliance risk controls.

Employment Details
The role is regular employment with an expected 40 working hours per week. The anticipated salary range for this role, based in Atlanta, GA, is $170,000- $220,000, subject to experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in the business unit’s incentive compensation plan and enjoy a full range of benefits and programs.
