A Look at the Role of a Client Onboarding Specialist (Banking)
One of the key roles at Fiserv is that of a Client Onboarding Specialist (Banking). This position falls within the Digital Solutions Abiliti Implementation Team and involves a wide range of tasks. The key responsibilities revolve around the implementation, training, consulting, and support of software. The role demands building relationships across various groups within Fiserv to deliver solutions, with a focus on online banking products such as mobile banking, mobile deposits, ACH, wires, alerting, and more.
Key Responsibilities of a Client Onboarding Specialist (Banking)
As a Client Onboarding Specialist, you will lead multiple implementation projects, ensuring that they are executed within defined timelines. You will work with clients through phone, email, and web-based channels, tracking, organizing, documenting, and communicating all product implementation-related activities. This role requires you to act as a liaison between various parties for projects that involve multiple product offerings or interfaces for Fiserv and third-party vendors.
You will develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Fiserv products and services, keeping up-to-date with relevant industry trends and best practices. You will become a subject matter expert in the products you implement, resolving small to moderate complex product and/or technical issues.
You will also provide technical and product assistance and support to other Implementation Analysts and various Fiserv teams. Additionally, you will assist with documenting and reviewing implementation procedures. After-hours support and the ability to adjust shifts to support client implementations may occasionally be necessary.
Qualifications and Skills Required
To qualify for this role, you need a degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or Business, or equivalent experience. You also need at least four years of experience with customer-facing projects or in a client support role, preferably within the Financial Services Industry. Proficiency in core computer skills and strong communication skills, including written, oral, and presentation skills, are required. The ability to research, analyze, and problem-solve issues is also crucial.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience with Fiserv core or Online Banking, time management skills, basic understanding of networking and data communication, and project management experience or PMP certification are advantageous.
Working at Fiserv
This role requires on-site work from Monday through Friday as Fiserv believes in-person collaboration contributes to effective onboarding and productivity.
