What the Role Entails
As an Associate Bank Financial Advisor (LO), the selected candidate will actively participate in the Wells Fargo Advisors’ training program. This program aims to equip employees with the necessary knowledge and skills to achieve personal, professional, and organizational client service goals within the Financial Advisory – Bank function.
The role also involves reviewing and assessing clients’ basic or tactical financial goals and risk tolerance levels. The candidate will evaluate clients’ investment profiles and financial needs, focusing on lower risk tasks and deliverables with narrower impacts.
Moreover, the Associate Bank Financial Advisor (LO) will be in constant contact with customers, assessing their needs and referring customers interested in dwelling secure products to a SAFE team member. The role involves assisting customers without taking an application and without offering or negotiating terms of a dwelling secured transaction.
Qualifications and Desired Skills
Interested candidates should have at least six months of experience in Customer Service, Sales, or Relationship Building roles or equivalent experience demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education. Additionally, successful completion of the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for the role.
Other desired qualifications include successful completion of FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65), financial services experience, client services experience, and a minimum of six months of client or sales services experience. Experience developing and managing client relationships, sales or sales support experience, and a BS/BA degree or higher are also highly desirable.
Job Expectations and Regulatory Requirements
As a Loan Originator (LO), the candidate will be required to meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and comply with related Wells Fargo policies. This includes passing a credit report check to assess financial responsibility and credit fitness.
The role also demands obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) licenses. Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities and/or personal investing. Compliance with these policies and the bank’s risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, and Regulatory Compliance) is essential.
