What This Role Entails
During this tenure, you can expect to assist our members with their banking needs, respond to their requests, problems or complaints in person, on the phone and by e-mail. You will have the chance to identify and recommend Credit Union products and services to members based on their financial needs. Part of your responsibilities will also include maintaining a cash drawer and creating professional and lasting relationships with members of the banking industry. You will also get to participate in community-related activities and attend regular branch meetings and training opportunities. Lastly, you will also work on assigned projects.
What You Will Learn
This experience will offer you an invaluable opportunity to gain a deep insight into Magnifi Financial’s member service standards and processing financial transactions accurately and efficiently. You will get to learn the ins and outs of Magnifi Financial’s products and working with financial institution products and procedures. Furthermore, you will gain experience in maintaining a cash drawer, selling and recommending products and services, and making referrals to other departments. You will also learn about deposit accounts as well as deposit compliance and industry regulations, including but not limited to BSA, Reg D, Reg CC, etc., and gain experience applying these regulations.
Education and Experience Requirements
For this role, you need to have a high school diploma or equivalent or actively pursuing a high school diploma. A positive attitude, communication and relationship-building skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities with minimal direction are essential. Previous experience of six months in customer service is also required.
Schedule
This position is available for the Summer of 2026, from May/June to August. The end date will be determined upon the offer. You will be expected to work 40 hours per week, typically between 8 am and 5 pm from Monday to Friday, with rotating Saturdays from 9 am to noon.
Benefits and Pay Transparency
The role offers Paid Time Off (PTO)/Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) – beginning from the date of hire. The salary range is $16.95/hr. through $25.42/hr. Salaries vary based on factors such as location, internal equity, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role.
