Join the Service Team at Schwab
At the heart of Schwab’s firm commitment to helping clients own their financial futures is their service team. This team is responsible for educating clients about investment strategies, trading tools, market mechanics, and retirement choices. They engage with, and advocate for, clients when answering inbound calls. They take ownership and tackle complex issues to offer the best possible solution.
As part of this team, you will attend the Schwab Service Academy (SSA), where you’ll receive paid training, study time, and support to obtain your Securities Industry Essentials and FINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses. Competitive Pay and Bonus Package
Schwab offers a competitive pay and bonus package. Starting compensation for this location begins at $54,100 during training, plus an annual bonus opportunity of 10% of your base pay and other eligible earnings. Employees have the potential to increase their total compensation to $61,710 within their first year upon obtaining the required Licensing and achieving performance-based pay increases.
Qualifications and Requirements
While a finance background can be beneficial, it’s not a prerequisite for success at Schwab. Candidates coming from a variety of experiences have found tremendous success here. What is essential is a growth mindset, a willingness to learn, and a passion for serving others.
Required qualifications include the ability to work full time on-site during Schwab’s training program (SSA), followed by a hybrid work schedule, and availability to work various shifts to serve clients 24/7, including overnight and weekend availability.
Preferred qualifications include previous customer service and client relationship experience, a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, or a related field, the ability to adapt to changes in the market and business, an eagerness to learn about finance, and a passion for service to clients. Other preferred qualifications include robust communication, influencing and client engagement skills, a desire to be part of a supportive and collaborative team, and proven success navigating multiple computer applications.
