The selected candidates will have the privilege of working with top-tier banks, and report directly to Heads of Strategy and Business Leaders.

Proprietary Data Products and Models

This reputable firm has made significant strides in the industry by creating proprietary data products and models. These tools are used by major banks to analyze their performance and strategic positioning within the market. The firm’s clients include some of the biggest names in the banking industry such as Goldman Sachs, Citi, JPMorgan, Barclays, and Bank of America Merrill Lynch, among others.

A Multifaceted Focus

The team’s work involves a variety of tasks, including revenue benchmarking, market sizing, and knowledge management. They also take pride in providing ‘views on the market’ to their sector or clients, making them a trusted source of insights and analysis. The opportunity to work on strategy case work is also available, with recent cases involving major banks such as Goldman Sachs, Citi and JP Morgan. These cases typically revolve around challenges such as share price depreciation, cost concerns, and market positioning.

Who Should Apply?

Those currently employed in banks (in roles related to strategy, coverage, or other broad capacities) or those from other consulting firms or similar organizations are highly encouraged to apply. The role is also suited to individuals with 2-6 years of experience working at a major bank, consulting firms, or similar third-party businesses. Applicants must have product knowledge in either retail banking or corporate/commercial banking, with broader knowledge being an advantage.

Job Responsibilities

  • Working on strategic projects, which includes tasks like benchmarking, market sizing, and data analysis
  • Directly managing clients and strategizing for their business’ future based on the information received
  • Building deep relationships with key decision makers in major banks
  • Working on cases with tier 1 strategy consultants, focusing on macro issues using data
  • Collecting data from major banks, running projects, and using this data to produce strategic insights and industry white papers

Required Skills and Experience

  • 2-6 years’ experience working at a major bank or consulting firms, or a similar third party business
  • Product knowledge in either retail banking or corporate/commercial banking
  • Client-facing skills – ability to influence and manage key stakeholders
  • Excel/Data skills – ability to analyse and gently model data
  • Entrepreneurial flair; ability to spot opportunities from conversations or in the data, build ideas and come up with a business plan where needed

Compensation Package

The selected candidate can expect a salary range of 130 to 150K USD, with an additional 20% average bonus.
