Role and Responsibilities
As a Lead Software Engineer in Salesforce at Capital One, your role will be multifaceted. You will lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
Your passion for staying on top of tech trends will be put to good use as you experiment with and learn new technologies. You will participate in both internal and external technology communities, and at times, be asked to code or evaluate code.
You will also collaborate with digital product managers, delivering robust cloud-based solutions that help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment.
Technical Skills Required
The role requires experience in several coding languages, including JavaScript (Angular, React, Node), HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, and Java. You should also be proficient in Salesforce development with Apex, Native, VisualForce, the Lightning framework, SOQL, REST & SOAP APIs, and RESTful web services.
Basic Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 4 years of experience in Software Engineering (Internship experience does not apply)
- At least 4 years of experience in Salesforce Software Engineering
- At least 1-year experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master’s Degree
- Salesforce Certified Developer or Salesforce Certified Administrator certification
- 1+ years of people management experience
- 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Salesforce development with Apex, Native, VisualForce, Lightning framework, SOQL
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
