Job Summary and Responsibilities
The selected individual will play a crucial role in conducting detailed analysis and due diligence for new opportunities in North America and LatAm, particularly in the power, natural resources, and infrastructure sectors. This role involves a wide range of tasks, including reviewing market studies, engineering reports, financial models, financial statements, customer financial information, project contracts, and legal analyses. The individual will also be expected to manage complex financial projections in Microsoft Excel, including cash flows, debt financing, and tax structures.
Moreover, the role requires understanding and negotiating covenants in financing documentation, preparing detailed documentation summarizing opportunity analysis, and supporting Project Finance deals and transactions from origination and diligence through to closing. It also involves advising clients on commercial and financial structure and operating requirements to achieve suitability for non-recourse debt financing.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Engineering, or another relevant field. A minimum of 1-2 years of related Accounting or Financial Services work experience is also required, preferably with specific internship and early careers experience in project finance. Experience with project finance transactions in the power, natural resources, or transportation infrastructure sectors would be an added advantage.
Compensation and Benefits
The typical base pay range for this role is $110k-$120k, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role is also eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonuses and/or incentive compensation.
